Casa do Valle

Nestled in the mountains of Barroso and Alvão, lies Casa do Valle, a property of 170 hectares dedicated to the production of Vinho Verde in the Cabeceiras de Basto County.

In 1996, the manor house was adapted to rural tourism but you can still find traces of the secular and typical architecture of the region in the chapel and in the granary with sundial. In addition to the historic remains, you can tour the vineyards and winery, enjoy a wine tasting, or visit the wine shop.  Catered lunch is possible by appointment.

Wine production in Casa do Valle goes back to the 18th century and provides the opportunity to become intimately acquainted with the vineyards and the Vinho Verde winemaking.
