Located in the Lisbon Wine Region (Alenquer), Quinta do Monte d’Oiro is known since the 17th century for its privileged terroir, resting on clay-limestone soils and having a strong Atlantic influence (the property is only 20 km away from the ocean), where the wind blows permanently. These characteristics have shown over the years to enhance the wines with great freshness, elegance and balance.
Arriving at Quinta do Monte d’Oiro the visitor will be led through the vineyards for an overview of our production philosophy both on the field as in the winery.
The awaited wine tasting takes place at our tasting room with a magnificent view over the barrel ageing room. This is where all the red wines are “raised”, protected by two large sculptures: The Skill and The Art, two major principles which drive Quinta do Monte d’Oiro’s production.
