Solar de Merufe

Quinta do Solar de Merufe is one of the historic “quintas” of the Vinho Verde region. It dates back to the 12th century, when members of the clergy planted and cultivated the vineyards on the property.

The land surrounded a chapel in honor of Our Lady of the Remedies and the wines produced were donated to the ceremonies and religious festivals celebrated. The production surplus was exported to northern Europe and Brazil.

The “quinta” is now adapted for visits and wine tastings (including the Solar de Merufe sparkling wine), as well as events and festivals.

Solar de Merufe produces various organic products such as sparkling wines and still wines, late harvest and balsamic vinegar.
