Quinta Vale D. Maria

Quinta Vale Dona Maria is a property of 19 hectares in the river Torto valley, where the challenge was to rebuild and restructure the 10-hectare vineyard for the production of high quality wines. The vineyard area has a mixture of 28 grape varieties, many more than 50 years of age.

Quinta Vale D. Maria's guesthouse is a renovated farmhand's dormitory. The surrounding landscape is breathtaking, especially when enjoyed from the pool, in the evening, with a glass of Douro wine in hand.

You can stroll through vineyards that are over 50 years old, and, with advanced booking, enjoy catered meals and wine tastings. There are also guided tours of the winery and cellar with the “quinta’s” winemaker, Cristiano van Zeller.
