The Citadelles du Vin attributed 31 gold medals and 7 silver medals to the Portuguese wines. Casa Santos Lima Regional Wine / IGP Algarve 2019 was distinguished with the "special prize" of the competition. The last edition of the competition brought together judges from 20 countries, internationally recognized in the wine sector: oenologists, sommeliers, buyers, wine critics and journalists. The Citadelles du Vin wine competition is currently organized by the CDV (Concours Des Vins – a non-profit association under the French law of 1901) located at Bourg, near Bordeaux (France).
