Portuguese wines promoted at China's largest wine event

35 Portuguese producers will participate at ProWine China 2019, between 12th and 14thNovember
From 12th to 14th November, Portugal takes a new step in the Wines of Portugal promotion in China market by participating in ProWine China 2019 in Shanghai. Thirty-five Portuguese producers are part of ViniPortugal's entourage and present themselves at the largest wine event in China under the brand name “Wines of Portugal” with the aim of showing the quality and excellence of Portuguese wines. The Portuguese delegation is the seventh largest in the event and has producers from all the regions of the country. For ViniPortugal, ProWine is a strategic away to create awareness and revise knowledge about Portuguese wines among professionals in the Chinese market, who have have interest to discover new wines and producers of world rising wine destinations. The following producers are part of ViniPortugal's entourage: Adega Cooperativa do Redondo, Adega de Borba, Adega São Mamede da Ventosa, António Maçanita Winemaker, Aveleda, Bacalhôa Wines of Portugal, Barão de Vilar – Vinihold, Boas Quintas, Casa da Fonte Pequena, Casa Relvas, Casa Santos Lima, Caves do Monte, D’Alegria Vinhos, Encostas de Alqueva, Enoport Wines, Ervideira, Henriques & Henriques, IVIN, João Portugal Ramos Wines & Spirits, Justino’s Madeira, Madeira Wine Company, Messias, Miguels, Parras Wines, Quinta da Calçada, Quinta da Lapa, Quinta de S. Sebastião, Quinta do Silval, Quinta do Vallado, Quiz Wines & Spirits, Santa Vitória, Santos & Seixo, The Loyalaty Wine Family, Vidigal Wines e Wine & Soul. During the event, visitors, especially professionals from the sector, will have the opportunity to discover the new wines Portuguese on the market, as well as taste some of the most awarded in the ViniPortugal place. The Portuguese presence in the event is also felt in ProWein's schedule, which has scheduled two lectures dedicated to Portuguese wines. Wine expert Stephen Li will lead the talks “Why Portuguese wines should feature on your list” on the 12th of November and “Wines of Portugal Challenge Awarded Wines” on the 13th of November. China is one of the most relevant markets for the diversification of the “Wines of Portugal” brand promotional activity. In 2018 there was a 1.3% increase in value and 23.8% in the average price of Portuguese wines in the Chinese market, with Portugal occupying the 11th position on the list of wine exporters to China.
