Portuguese wines awarded in Asia

Portuguese wines have achieved 127 medals in Decanter Asia Wine Awards, one of the largest wine competitions in Asia.
The Madeira wine Henriques & Henriques, Single Harvest Boal 2000 reached the best distinction of the competition, the Platinum - Best in Show medal. The wines Bacalhôa, 10 Anos, Moscatel Roxo de Setúbal and Cartuxa EA Reserva 2015 were distinguished with a “Platinum: Best Fortified Portugal” and “Platinum: Best Red Portugal”, respectively. The wine vinho Casa Ermelinda Freitas, Moscatel Roxo de Setúbal 2010 was distinguished with gold medal. Twenty-three wines were also awarded with silver medals and 100 wines with bronze medals. Portuguese wines achieved 27 positions in the ranking of commended wines. The most awarded wines are reds (106), followed by whites (43) and fortified (8). More than 50 expert judges, including Master Sommeliers and leading palates in the Asia region, judged 3,235 wines during DAWA judging week in Hong Kong last September. See the full results here.
