ViniPortugal, in partnership with the Trás-os-Montes Wine Commission, will organize a wine tasting with typical products from this special Portuguese region. The event will be held on 18th February at 6:30 p.m. in the Lisbon Tasting Room (Sala Ogival). With the presentation of Francisco Pavão and Ana Alves, the event will reveal the unique flavors of this region of the north of Portugal. The event is an invitation to an unforgettable wine experience, as much for the excellence as for the great variety of wines. In the remote north east of Portugal, cut off from the coast by a series of mountain ranges, Trás-os-Montes is wild, high country, its soils poor and unproductive, granitic with here and there the odd patch of schist. The extreme continental climate brings long, hot summers followed by long, icy winters.
