Wines of Portugal win medals at Concours Mondial de Bruxelles

Portugal achieves a positive result with 357 awarded wines at the renowned Concours Mondial de Bruxelles
Among the 8,750 wines from 51 producer countries, Portuguese wines were distinguished with 357 medals, at the 21st edition of Concours Mondial de Bruxelles. In total, Portugal achieved 16 Grand Golds, 114 Golds and 227 Silvers. Porto and Douro wine region was the most awarded Portuguese region with 137 medals, followed by Alentejo with 115 medals. The results are pretty exciting because the number of awarded wines increased compared to last year. The wines were blind tasted by 320 judges comprising sommeliers, buyers, importers, journalists and wine writers from 54 countries. Next year’s edition will take place in Valladolid, Spain.
