Wines of Portugal win medals at Concours Mondial de Bruxelles

Portugal achieves a positive result with 357 awarded wines at the renowned Concours Mondial de Bruxelles
Among the 8,750 wines from 51 producer countries, Portuguese wines were distinguished with 357 medals, at the 21st edition of Concours Mondial de Bruxelles. In total, Portugal achieved 16 Grand Golds, 114 Golds and 227 Silvers. Porto and Douro wine region was the most awarded Portuguese region with 137 medals, followed by Alentejo with 115 medals. The results are pretty exciting because the number of awarded wines increased compared to last year. The wines were blind tasted by 320 judges comprising sommeliers, buyers, importers, journalists and wine writers from 54 countries. Next year’s edition will take place in Valladolid, Spain. Wine Future November 7th to 9th 2023

The 4th edition of Wine Future, which will take place between the 7th and 9th of November this year, will be held at the Convento de São Francisco in Coimbra. This 2023 edition is being co-organised by Wines of Portugal and Chrand Events. "Breaking Barriers" will be the theme of this, the largest meeting dedicated to wine held in Portugal, presenting participants with some of the most influential and respected names in the world of wine, but also with illustrious personalities from other sectors and even voices from competing industries.
