The Portuguese winemakers can register their wines during this week, until 22 April, to participate in the Wines of Portugal Challenge. After that date, until 29 April, the registration will have an increase of 15 euros on the initial value. The Wines of Portugal Challenge to establish itself as an international event with high relevance exclusively dedicated to enhance the visibility of the Portuguese wines in key export markets. ViniPortugal expects that the number of registered wines reach a new record this edition. Until now, are already about 1,000 wines registered, representing the most important Portuguese wine regions. This number of registrations reveals an increase of 16% over the lastyear and the number will probably increase during this week. The winners of 2016 Grand Gold and Gold medals will be presented at the National Agriculture Fair and in special wine tastings in the Wines of Portugal Tasting Rooms in Lisbon and Porto. These wines will also have privileges in specific initiatives in the main export markets of the Wines of Portugal agenda. The registration into the Wines of Portugal Challenge requires online registration at www.concursovinhosdeportugal.pt, payment by bank transfer or check endorsed to ViniPortugal, followed by a dispatch with the payment proof and completed with the delivery of the samples.
