Portugal obtained 107 medals in the spring edition of the competition CWSA (China Wine & Spirits Awards)
Portugal obtained 6 CWSA Trophies, the highest award in competition. The wine Valcatrina(2013), from Casa Santos Lima producer, was named the CWSA Portuguese Wine of the Year. The Heh Boal (15 years old) from Henriques & Henriques Wines producer was considered CWSA Fortified Wine of the Year. The competition also distinguished the best wines from four Portuguese wine regions namely Alentejo, Lisboa, Douro e Península de Setúbal. In addition to the six CWSA Trophies, 19 wines obtained Double Gold, 53 wines were distinguished with Gold medals, 22 silver medals and 11 collected the bronze. The wines Piano Reserva (2011) and Herdade da Pimenta Grande Escolha (2013) received a gold medal and the CWSA Bio medal, an award that distinguishes the best organic wines. The evaluation was conducted by an extensive panel of judges, selected among China's largest wine distributors. The competition included wines from 35 countries.
