Wines of Portugal awarded at Mundus Vini

The Portuguese wines totaled 122 medals at prestigious international wine competition MundusVini.
The summer edition of the competition MundusVini distinguished 122 Portuguese wines with 2 grand gold medals, 43 gold medals and 77 silver medals. Douro and Beiras were the most awarded Portuguese wine regions with 21 and 16 medals, respectively. These regions also received the highest distinction of the competition with the wines Moscatel de Favaios 1980 (Douro) and Quinta dos Carvalhais Branco Reserva 2010 (Beiras). Portugal ranked 5th place in the list of 42 countries awarded. The MundusVini International Wine Award opened in early September with around 4,500 wines from around the world. The 164-member international jury sampled wines from 42 countries and awarded 33 Grand Gold medals, 935 Gold and 1,004 Silver medals. Check out the full list of winners here.
