Wines of Portugal at Vinexpo

Paulo Portas, Portuguese Deputy Prime Minister, is going to visit the stand of ViniPortugal on 16th of June, the third day of the landmark international fair. The promotion of Portuguese wines will be extended to 18 th June.
The Portuguese Deputy Prime Minister, Paulo Portas, will attend the Wines of Portugal stand at Vinexpo, next 16th June. Vinexpo is a landmark international fair that supports once again the Wines of Portugal promotion. More than 40 Portuguese winemakers will attend the Wines of Portugal collective stand (BD 60| 65| 70), at Hall 1, from 14th to 18 th June, in Bordeaux. Vinexpo is a great opportunity to increase the knowledge and awareness about the Portuguese wines on its strategic markets and promote the approach to new markets and important distributors and buyers. During the 2015 Vinexpo, ViniPortugal will provide a space for "FREE TASTING" with the purpose of promoting the award-winning wines in international competitions and Wines of Portugal Competition. During the five days of the fair will be organized several conferences in order to enhance knowledge about Portuguese wines, grape varieties and wine regions. The Indigenous Treasures of Portugal - white grapes and red grapes - will be the focus of Doug Frost presentation, Master of Wine and Master Sommelier, wine consultant and writer. On 15th and 16th of June, Robert Joseph will conduct the conferences. The first conference is entitled "The combination of the traditional with the modern" while the second, the wine consultant and author of the blog “The Wine Thinker”, disclose his personnel selection of Portuguese white wines. Sofia Salvador, wine educator of ViniPortugal, will focus her seminars on "Portugal Treasures which deserve to be discovered", presenting mono-varietal wines and blends followed by a wine tasting. It will be even organized a talk with Antonio Grace, Director of PORVID, who will defend the importance of sustainability in the production of the Portuguese wines and the maintenance of biodiversity in the vineyard.
