ViniPortugal joins to the second edition of the event “Wines of Portugal in Rio”, organized by the newspapers Publico and Globo, held on the Jockey Club from 22 nd to 24th, in Rio de Janeiro. The action also has the support of the Embassy of Portugal. 73 Portuguese winemakers will attend to the event and will be performed several parallel proceedings in order to promote the Portuguese wines in the second largest city in Brazil, a priority market for the Wines of Portugal. Boosted by the success of the first edition, the second edition of the "Wines of Portugal in Rio" will be attended by winemakers from different wine regions and renowned Brazilian and Portuguese wine experts. The newness of this edition is a common area, with free admission, in which the visitor can taste food trucks and find a wine shop. The registration on the main activities has a cost. These will be held in three spaces: Wine Market; Tasting Room, Workshops and Pairings and Wine Experience Room. Brazil continues to be one of the key markets for the Portuguese wines, since it has been performing a high rate of exports growth. Portuguese wines have achieved a high position in the Brazilian market. Portugal is the fourth wine supplier in Brazil. In addition, the Portuguese wine has a high average price and a very positive connotation in this market.
