This acknowledgement depends on the sum of the points obtained, during the all year, in the various competitions for wine only. The Sogrape Vinhos SA totaled 162 awards last year and added 3002.60 points. In this way, take the fourth place of the ranking, executed by ‘World Association of Wine Writers and Journalists’. On the top 20 of the list are still highlighted 3 Portuguese winemakers namely Casa Santos Lima Copanhia das Vinhas SA (132 awards), DFJ Vinhos SA (126 awards) and Enoport DT Produção de Bebidas SA (88 awards).
