Food and Portuguese wine pairing lunch for journalists and Masterclass for trade professionals, on the 28th and 29th of April
ViniPortugal organizes this year, and for the first time, several actions to promote Portuguese wines in Singapore. A lunch with matching wines, "Daring Parings", for journalists will be held on April 28th from 12pm on Alkaff Mansion, in 10 Telok Blangah Green, in Singapore. On the 29th there will be, for the trade professionals, a Master Class on Portuguese Grape Varieties and Regions during a lunch with wine pairing, also at Alkaff Mansion, by 12h. Master Sommelier Evan Goldstein will lead the two actions, with the purpose of demonstrating the strong gastronomic character of Portuguese wines, aimed at two types of relevant public types of this market, influential amongst consumers. During the food and wine pairing lunch aimed at the Singapore media, Chef Marco Guccio will propose a menu that will enhance the connection of Portuguese wines with food, while Evan Goldstein will explain Portuguese wines, differentiating them through the grape varieties diversity and complexity. The next day the food and wine pairing lunch followed by a Masterclass will target the trade professionals. In this Master Class there will be 13 Portuguese wines in evidence and Evan Goldstein will lead the participants on a visit to Portugal through the national wine grape varieties and regions. There is a strong appetite and interest in foreign wines which provides an opportunity for domestic producers".
