ViniPortugal joins “Semana Mesa de S. Paulo” (São Paulo Food Fair) to promote Portuguese wines. Several activities will be featured in the event to promote Portuguese wines in Brazilian market and approach opinion makers and sommeliers to Portuguese wines. Brazil is still an important market to Portuguese wines and it’s fundamental to increase market share, especially when Portuguese wines are of the main wine suppliers and competition is fierce. Wines of Portugal team prepared two workshops to “Semana Mesa de S. Paulo”. Today José Santanita, Wine Educator, will lead a worshop about Portuguese grape varieties at 7.30pm and tomorrow Ivan Santos, co-author with Dirceu Viana Júnior of the only book about Portuguese wines in Brazil, will talk about Portuguese traditional wineries at 7pm. Also, considering the 50 Great Portuguese Wines for Brazil list, there will be the opportunity to join a cooking class with Jô Barros, sommelier, and taste one of the wines featured in the list. All the 50 Great Portuguese Wines will be available for tasting in a special area in the fair, where attendees could also participate in small challenges about Portuguese wines during the entire event.
