On 21st October, ViniPortugal – responsible for Wines of Portugal brand management – and AICEP Portugal will organize a wine event at Portuguese Embassy in Paris. The event targets journalists and Parisian trade. Three female winemakers will lead the event: Sandra Tavares da Silva (photo), Filipa Pato and Catarina Vieira. Each winemaker has selected 15 wines from several Portuguese regions to present. The event is divided in three distinct moments: first a wine tasting and a buffet lunch for journalists, second a wine tasting for trade members and finally a formal dinner for 15 journalists and top sommeliers. Jorge Monteiro, ViniPortugal CEO, explains that “Portuguese wine high quality should be promoted in the main European wine markets. Paris remains an main creative center and is a trendsetter city, so it is important to enchant the Parisians. Portuguese brands continue to export to Paris and Portuguese producers consider important be present in major French restaurants as well as wine store”.
