The Portuguese wine annual tasting in Norway will be held at Astrup Fearnley Museum, Oslo next 28th October.
About 47 Portuguese winemakers will attend the wine tasting in Oslo. The event is organized by ViniPortugal and aims to create awareness, amongst the Norwegian monopoly, trade, media and wine clubs about Portuguese wine. To strengthen Portuguese wines image in the Northern Europe market is one of ViniPortugal’s main goals. Norway is part of the Nordic market that is conditioned by state monopoly, which imposes some limits to alcoholic beverages’ promotion and sales “The 12.5% increase in value in the first quarter of 2013 is a great motivation to keep investing in this market. The Wines of Portugal campaign in Norway is based on a closer relationship with restaurants, education and communication programs. The Portuguese wine annual tasting is the great Portuguese wine event in Norway, because it gathers several winemakers in a wonderful venue.”, explains Jorge Monteiro, ViniPortugal CEO.
