The German wine magazine, "Weinwirtschaft", published the best 100 wines in the German market in 2012. The red Fabelhaft 2009 from Douro reached the third place on the podium. Actually the wine produced by Niepoort Wines was awarded in 2009 and 2011 when the wine was considered the best in the German market twice. There's one more Portuguese wine in the list. The wine "Paço de Serviçaria Douro 2009" produced by Dão Sul reached the 24th place in the list. The list published by "Weinwirtschaft" is compiled by tasting wines distributed in Germany by trade or supermarkets offering middle and high quality wines with a turnover of at least 10 thousand bottles per year.
