Portugal is the best buy of 2012

The Douro wine Vega 2009, from DFJ wine company has been selected the 2012 best buy by the American magazine Wine Enthusiast.
Each year, Wine Enthusiast magazine publishes the "Top 100 Best Buys", that is to say, the ordered list of wines that have the best ratio quality / price. Portugal, known for amazing wines with competitive prices, occupies 10 places in the list, including the desirable number one. As already mentioned, the Douro wine Vega 2009 is the first in the list, but the Top 10 also has another Portuguese wine from Dão, the Catedral Reserva 2008 produced by Caves Velhas. Another wine from Douro wine region, Quinta do Portal Vintage 2009 is at 17th place and from Alentejo wine region, Alente 2009 at 27th. The "Top 100 Best Buys" only include wines whose price doesn’t exceed $ 15 and have an extraordinary quality. During this year, critics of Wine Enthusiast analyzed more than 17,000 wines to prepare the list.
