17 gold and 14 silver medals for Portuguese wines was the final result for Portuguese wines in the wine competition a href="http://www.citadellesduvin.com/" target="_blank">"Les Citadelles du Vin".
The wines from Casa Ermelinda Freitas winemaker from Península de Setúbal wine region obtained a high number of medals, even though other wine regions achieved gold medals. The contest was held in Bordeaux from 19 to 21 May. The awards were presented at Vinexpo that, this year, was held in Hong Kong. 113 Portuguese wines were on competition in a total of 1045 wines from 32 countries.
