About 58% of the volume of exports from Beira Interior DO and “Terras da Beira” IG wines is focused to Angola, Brazil and China markets. The most important European markets for Beira Interior wines are the British, Polish and French. The increase in sales volume was also felt in the Portuguese market, where the wines of Beira Interior had an increase of 27.5%, when comparing to year 2010. To sustain this growth of exports is already prepared a visit by two delegations of importers and journalists from the United States and Canada to the wine region next month.
