The magazine publishes an annual award issue to present a top 100 wineries lists, based on the quality of their wines. Four Portuguese wineries were chosen for the 2011 list. Aveleda wines, from Vinhos Verdes wine region, were considered “thoroughly modern, consistently among the best white wine values in the world”. Quinta das Bageiras is acclaimed for “powerfully structured reds from Baga” from Bairrada wine region. The Niepoort were admired for the quality of Ports and table wines.
