The ceremony was attended by George Sandeman, Chancellor and the most important figure of the Brotherhood, Vilhena Pereira, President of the Institute of Port and Douro Wine and Edite Azenha, vice president of the Institute of Vine and Wine. The ceremony was also attended by some Wine Commissions Presidents and several Portuguese winemakers. The Port Wine Brotherhood emphasizes personalities and people related to the world of wine that somehow helps to promote Portuguese wine, namely Port wine.
