Portugal achieved 3 Gold medals with the Reguengos, 2014 of Carmim producer and Dalva Vintage 2015 and Dalva 2004 of Casa Santos Lima. In addition to the 3 Grand Gold medals, the Wines of Portugal collected 43 gold medals and 20 silver medals. In 2018, some 1,776 products from 31 countries were showcased. The winners of the Grand Gold medals and special awards were announced at the Judges Recognition Soirée that took place at the Quebec Garrison Club on May 28. For four intense days, a prestigious and objective panel awarded a total of 524 medals: 8 Grand Gold medals, 370 Gold medals and 146 Silver medals plus 5 special prices.
