The German competition, Berliner Wine Trophy, attributed 89 medals to the Portuguese wines
Portuguese wines collected 89 medals in one of the most important wine competitions in Germany. Douro and Alentejo wine regions achieved four and one Grand Gold medals, respectively. Port wines stand out in this category, totaling three of the five Grand Gold medals attributed to Portugal. In the competition, Portugal was also awarded with 65 gold medals and 19 silver medals. The Berliner Wein Trophy is a competition supported by the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV). The competition began in 1994 and currently organizes two editions per year in the German capital: one in winter, in February, and another in the summer whose evaluations are presented in July. Wines of Portugal participates in the 5th Global Wine Tourism Conference

The 5th Global Wine Tourism Conference this year takes place in Portugal, from the 8th to the 10th of September, in Monsaraz.

Wines of Portugal collaborates with Portugal’s Tourism Institute in this initiative through the organization of a Masterclass, which will take place on the first day of the event (September 8th), from 12:00 to 14:30, where there will be a Wine Tasting of the 14 Portuguese Wine Regions addressed to around 50 international participants who will be at the Conference.
