The Wines of Portugal totaled 7 positions in the prestigious Top 100 Cellar Selection

It takes willpower to leave a bottle untouched for years.The Magazine Wine Enthusiast distinguishes every year the wines considered true treasures to keep in the cellar of the most patient wine lovers. This year, the editors of Wine Enthusiast highlighted 5 wines from Douro wine region and 2 from Alentejo wine region, in the list that elects the top 100 of the world in this category. The red wine Quinta do Vale do Meão 2012 from Douro is the best rated Portuguese wine on the list, placed in 4th place with 97 points. The Wine Enthusiast characterized it long-lasting wine showing a fresh character, with dense, dark tannins and intense floral fruit. This will age for many years, so don’t drink before 2020.
