Wines of Portugal awarded at the International Wine Challenge 2015

The Portuguese wines had totaled 931 medals and 21 Trophies at the International Wine Challenge, in London.
The 32º edition of the International Wine Challenge distinguished 617 Portuguese wines with 60 Gold medals, 224 Silver medals and 333 Bronze medals. The most awarded wine regions were Douro and Porto with 41 Gold medals and 10 Trophies, Alentejo with 6 Gold medals and 1 Trophy Madeira with 5 gold medals and 4 Trophies. The Dão wine region also got the spotlight with 5 Gold medals and 2 Trophies. Portugal was among the most awarded countries together with France, Italy, Spain and Australia. In total, the Wines of Portugal totaled 931 medals, a significant difference in comparison with other major countries in competition as Chile, England, Germany, Argentina, Canada and the United States. O IWC divide-se em dois momentos diferentes de degustação. Na Tranche 1, os vinhos foram degustados em Novembro e na Tranche 2 em Abril. Wines of Portugal participates in the 5th Global Wine Tourism Conference

The 5th Global Wine Tourism Conference this year takes place in Portugal, from the 8th to the 10th of September, in Monsaraz.

Wines of Portugal collaborates with Portugal’s Tourism Institute in this initiative through the organization of a Masterclass, which will take place on the first day of the event (September 8th), from 12:00 to 14:30, where there will be a Wine Tasting of the 14 Portuguese Wine Regions addressed to around 50 international participants who will be at the Conference.
