The wines Quinta do Crasto, Quinta de Lemos and Quinta de Monte d’Oiro will be on the spotlight during the next wine gathering, focused on Tinta Roriz grape variety. The initiative will be supported by ViniPortugal, tomorrow, 22nd November, starting at 6.30 in the Wines of Portugal Tasting Room, at Palácio da Bolsa, Porto. Also known as Tinta Roriz, Aragonez grape variety is the Iberian grape variety par excellence, is one of the rare grape varieties to be prized on both sides of the border. This grape variety offers wines which combine elegance and robustness, copious berry fruit and spicy flavour. The vines are very vigorous and productive and adapt well to different climates and soils. In recent years it has spread rapidly throughout the Dão, Ribatejo/Tejo and Lisboa regions, where it tends to be blended with other varieties, typically Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca, and also with Trincadeira and Alicante Bouschet in the Alentejo. The tasting will be paring delicacies prepared by the restaurant's O Commercial and will also be suggested to the participants the possibility to stay for dinner and appreciate a special menu, designed to this wine gathering. Wine tasting registration is required by e-mail provas.salaporto@viniportugal.pt and has a cost of 5 € for the event or 25€ for the dinner. Other information can be requested to Daniela Macedo, by the same email or phone 22 33 23 072/96 637 11 02.
