Of the 343 candidates, Portugal obtained eight international awards of the Prize sponsored by the Great Wine Capitals Global Network. The winners were announced in Mendoza, Argentina. Of the 50 national winners, only 8 were considered capital network by an international jury of professionals from the tourism sector. One of the eight international awards Best of Wine Tourism 2015 was attributed to the Douro Museum, the Arts and Culture category. The other international winners are: - Bodegas Marqués de Murrieta - Bilbao / Rioja, Espanha; - Château La Croizille - Bordeaux, France; - Waterford Estate - Cape Town, South Africa; - Weingut Dr Hinkel - Mainz/Rheinhessen, Germany; - Trapiche - Mendoza, Argentina; - HALL Wines - San Francisco / Napa Valley, USA; - Macerated at Viñamar - Valparaiso / Casablanca Valley, Santiago do Chile. The county of Porto, representative of the regions of Douro Wines, Port and Vinho Verde, chose six winners this year, out of the 27 candidatures received, namely: - Wine House Hotel Quinta da Pacheca, in the category Accommodation; - Conceitus Winery Restaurant, in the category Wine Restaurants; - Adega Quinta da Faísca, in the category Architecture and Landscape; - Caves Graham's 189, in the category Wine Tourism Services; - Boeira Portugal in a bottle, in the category of Innovative Wine Tourism Experiences; - Quinta das Escomoeiras, in the category Sustainable Wine Tourism Practices.
