Portuguese wines awarded in the International Wines & Spirits Competition

A total of 325 Portuguese wines were awarded in the latest edition of International Wines & Spirits Competition - Northern Hemisphere wines.
Portuguese fortified wines (Porto and Madeira) won 10 gold outstanding medals and 10 gold medals. The wine Esporão Reserva Tinto 2011 from Alentejo wine region was the only still wine to get a gold medal, increased to 11 the number of gold medals achieved. Portugal has also obtained got 32 Silver Outstanding medals, 117 silver medals and 156 bronze medals. The International Wine & Spirit Competition is an annual wine competition founded in 1969. Currently is a reference wine competition in the wine industry.
