ViniPortugal organizes an Alentejo and Península de Setúbal wine regions tours to 25 international wine specialists. Portuguese wine judges at Wines of Portugal Challenge will join them in the tours. The tours are included in the Wines of Portugal’s parallel program and have the support of Alentejo and Península de Setúbal wine commissions. Both tours intent to promote the knowledge about these two wine regions. Today Alentejo tour takes the wine specialists to visit Fundação Eugénio de Almeida, Herdade dos Pinheiros. After, attends will have the opportunity to try traditional food and wines from ten different winemakers. Next Friday, wine specialists will be at Península de Setúbal to visit Vinha Grande de Algeruz at José Maria da Fonseca headquarters. Then, they will have lunch in Palmela with Cooperativa Agrícola Adega Santo Isidro de Pegões and Casa Ermelinda Freitas wines. The tour will end with a visit to Bacalhôa (palace and vineyards).
