Portuguese wines awarded in Asia

Portuguese wines have achieved 74 medals in Decanter Asia Wine Awards, one of the largest wine competitions in Asia.
Portugal obtained four Gold Medals, two of these wines awarded with a gold medal were elected to the regional awards for best Portuguese red wine (Moura Basto Reserva 2010 from Tejo wine region) and the best Port wine (Sandeman Tawny 30 years). Sixteen wines were also awarded with silver medals and 38 wines with bronze medals. Portuguese wines achieved 16 positions in the ranking of commended wines. The most awarded wines are reds (52), followed by whites (16) and roses (6). The Decanter Asia Wine Awards began in 2012, and quickly became Asia’s largest wine competition.
