The presence of Portuguese wines in the Brazilian wine fair Expovinis, in São Paulo, from 24th to 26th April, strengthens the Wines of Portugal promotion campaign in this important market to Portuguese exports, after overcome the shadow of the possible imposition of tariffs The Wines of Portugal promotion campaign to Brazil will also feature two annual wine tastings in June (in São Paulo, 25th and in Rio de Janeiro, 27th), a Sommelier Competition in May, training sessions and in September the 50 Great Portuguese Wines for Brazil will be unveil by Dirceu Viana Júnior. It’s important to mention that Brazil receives the second ViniPortugal’s largest investment in marketing (one million euros). In Expovinis, two sommeliers will welcome visitors at Wines of Portugal stand and inform them about the 46 wine producers that attend the wine fair, new wine launches and other information about the wines. Portuguese wine producers might spark the interest of distributors and buyers, showing that Portuguese wines stand out in quality, culture and tradition. This year, Wines of Portugal will feature two workshops: the first with José Maria Santana (24th, April at 7.30pm) about “Portugal – the oenologist choice, discover unique wines” and the second with Arthur Azevedo (25th, April at 7.30pm) about “Portugal, awarded wines”. It also will be held a data hunting session, where wine producers will have the opportunity to talk with trade and investors in private sessions.
