Portuguese wines had a great participation in Berliner Wine Trophy: two Premium Berlin Gold (best in competition), 42 gold medals and 20 silver medals. The 1957 and 1984 “Colheita” Port Wines from Kopke (Sogevinus winemakers) got the two Premium Berlin Gold medals. It should be mentioned that jury assigned only 9 medals of excellence in this competition edition. The Berliner Wein Trophy is a German competition started in 1994. It has two editions per year: one in Winter taking place in February and the Summer edition in July. The results are listed on the official website.
