The Moscatel do Douro harvest of 1980 produced by Adega de Favaios is the third best muscat in the world by the French competition Muscats du Monde.
The Douro Moscatel is the only Portuguese wine in the “Muscats du Monde” top 10 ang also got a gold medal. But the Portuguese participation did not end here. There are three more gold medals and three silver medals, almost equally distributed between the Douro and the Setúbal region (regions with a great tradition muscatel production).
