The red wine Pura Cepa 2010 from Quinta do Montalto was awarded with a Gold Medal and the only Portuguese wine with this distinction. In the competition Portuguese wines were awarded with 48 gold medals and 32 silver medals distributed in different categories: still wines, Port and Madeira. The Berliner Wein Trophy is a competition supported by the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV). This edition had about 5700 wines from 30 countries in competition.
