Wines of Portugal will organize and promote three major roadshow-style tastings focused on the trade, with 15 producers per city, aimed at those looking to expand distribution (outside the Rio de Janeiro-São Paulo axis) and increase brand awareness and customer base.
These tastings will aim to strengthen the Wines of Portugal brand among local retailers, opinion leaders, influencers, and the trade, reinforcing the distinctive positioning of Portuguese wines, ensuring increased listing and trading up in the off-trade, and preventing the deterioration of the average price. These are the main objectives of this action.
Taking into account the calendar of events organized in recent years by Wines of Portugal and criteria such as purchasing power, representation of the HORECA channel, coverage of the network of importers and distributors, relevance of specialized retail, and consumption trends, it is proposed that the event be held in the cities of Recife, Curitiba, and Florianópolis.
The initiative is aimed at on-trade and off-trade professionals (150), with a focus on the HORECA channel, sommeliers, importers, distributors, retailers, specialist and general journalists, opinion leaders, members and trainees of tourism and hospitality associations and schools, wine and food critics, lifestyle and culture influencers, as well as consumers (100 people). It should be noted that the latter will be carefully selected, in conjunction with agents in the sector in the respective city, and personalized invitations will be sent out.
