Event description
In order to reinforce the distinctive positioning and awareness of Portuguese wines in the German market, Wines of Portugal has once again accepted the invitation of the Rheingau Gourmet & Wein Festival to be the guest country for the 2023 edition.
This festival is a reference gastronomic event in Germany, which will last 14 days and will culminate with a wine tasting that will take place at the Monastery of Eberbach Eltville-Hattenheim (near Frankfurt) on February 26 where 1200 visitors are expected.
This classic wine tasting with the exclusive presence of 25 Portuguese producers will take place together with 30 German wine producers from this wine region presenting their best Riesling wines from VDP.GROSSE LAGEN and VDP.ERSTE LAGEN, to sweet noble wines and rare Pinot Noirs from historic vineyards of Rheingau. There will also be parallel events linked to wine and gastronomy.
We expect 1,200 visitors for this tasting, which is mainly directed to a selected public of gastronomy, media and consumers with high involvement with wine.
