Event description
Following the launch of Tim Atkin MW’s landmark first-ever Special Report on Portugal, London will host the report’s official physical launch on 3 November, bringing together most of the producers and wines that helped define Portugal’s extraordinary showing in the report.
The Best of Portugal tasting will give the UK trade and consumers the opportunity to discover these highly rated wines in person: around 250 wines (93+ points), 66 producers from all over Portugal.
Written by wine journalist Beth Willard, the Portugal Special Report assessed 672 wines from 91 producers, with 302 wines scoring 93 points or above – almost half of all wines tasted. The report is a major new reference point for Portuguese wine, placing the country firmly alongside the world’s most closely followed wine regions.
