11th edition of Wines of Portugal in Brazil 2024

Event description

In keeping with the 2024 Promotion Plan and taking into account the success of previous editions, which have brought around 79,000 people to this event in recent years, Wines of Portugal is joining the 11th edition of the Wines of Portugal in Brazil event, the largest Portuguese wine event in the country, organized in partnership with the Público, O Globo and Valor Econômico newspapers.

In 2024, seeking to consolidate the conquest of a new wine-consuming public in Rio de Janeiro, the event will once again be held at the Jockey Club Brasileiro, on June 7, 8 and 9, a venue that offers large, open spaces with a privileged view of Corcovado, attracting a demanding public with good taste. A perfect match for an event like "Vinhos de Portugal". The event will occupy two tribunes at the Jockey Club and will once again be a major edition of "Vinhos de Portugal" in Rio de Janeiro.

In São Paulo, the event will take place on June 13, 14 and 15 and will run from Thursday to Saturday. The Bienal de São Paulo Pavilion in Ibirapuera Park was chosen as this year's venue. Inaugurated in 1957, the Ciccillo Matarazzo Pavilion was designed by architect Oscar Niemeyer and is a historical heritage site, a landmark of Brazilian architecture and one of the symbols of the city's cultural life. Ibirapuera Park is an urban park with an area of 158 hectares. In 2017, it was the most visited park in Latin America. The change of location in São Paulo will give the event even more notoriety.

For 3 days (in each of the cities) visitors will have the opportunity to taste Portuguese wines in a tasting area, allowing them to get in touch with Portuguese producers in an informal setting. There will be the opportunity to take part in various parallel activities designed for the event, such as the exclusive tasting for professionals (1st morning of the event and privileged access to the trade throughout the 1st day of the event); “Tomar um Copo”, Commented Tastings, Harmonizations and a social area. There will also be a store in the social area with a model to be presented soon.

The 2023 edition had 6 days of events, 11,000 visitors, 32 special tastings, 40 talk shows, providing one of the greatest wine experiences, which translated into more than 3,000,000 printed views and more than 5 million digital users, with repercussions on radio, TV, websites, newspapers and social networks throughout Brazil.
